Why Flare Stacks?

A flare is used in a refinery or petrochemical facility to combust relieved waste gases safely and efficiently. The flare is often portrayed as the end of line device and plays an extremely important operating role in an emergency such as a power failure or fire. The critical nature of a flare stack requires the design to operate 24-hours a day, for months on end without disruption. Each flaring scenario needs to be fully and accurately investigated to ensure all potential variables are considered and accounted for to combust waste gases as safely and efficiently as possible.

OUR EXPERTISE

Tailored Solutions for your Unique Needs.

Based on decades of experience and intangible client feedback, Prism successfully delivers industry leading flare stack solutions. Our flare stacks are custom built for your project specific needs, tailored for ease of installation, and made to stand the test of time. With rising costs for field installation and demanding project windows, Prism guarantees an extra emphasis on customer support, standing beside you every step of the way for the many years to come.

Concept-To-Life

It's all in the details.

With several types and arrangements of flare stacks available, one size does not fit all. Pairing the distinctive molecular composition of waste gases with the limitations on smokeless flaring, noise levels, and radiant heat production, different approaches must be utilized to ensure proper combustion within a flare stack. From new flare sizing to retrofits to existing equipment, consultation services, preventative maintenance, service, installation, and commissioning, Prism’s dedicated and knowledgeable Combustion Engineers deliver tailored solutions to fulfill your projects unique requirements.

Quick Stand

Prism offers shop prepared install kits that decrease assembly time and crew costs.

We stand by quality and reliability in our products. That is why our stacks hand fitted/tested at our factory. Each accessory, be it lights or pilots, are run up and down the tracking to ensure no binding can occur once the stack is stood.

Prism Smokeless Flare Tips

As an elevated design innovation, Prism’s Smokeless Flare Tip assemblies convert a smoking stack to smokeless. The principal workings of the units utilize force to mix oxygen with the flare gas, thus enhancing the burning efficiency of the hydrocarbon molecules. Our air assist flare packages can be adapted to existing stacks in the field or to custom built for new products being manufactured.

Compliance.

As per API 537, the 3 main goals of the flare stacks are as follows:
01
Reduce ground level concentrations of hazardous materials
02
Provide the safe disposal of flammable materials
03
Reduce volatile organic compound (VOC) and hydro-carbon emissions
